Hyperbole aside, prescription drug costs have surged in the past 20 years. According to research from the Kaiser Family Foundation, almost one quarter of Americans find their medication costs to be too expensive. Three in ten have admitted to not taking their medications as prescribed due to overwhelming cost at the pharmacy counter. These are just statistics, though. How much do prescription drugs really cost?
