The PharmacyChecker Verification Program
The Verification Program Standards outline the requirements that online pharmacies must meet to publish a PharmacyChecker seal. Those standards ensure that prescription orders placed on PharmacyChecker-verified websites are secure and dispensed by licensed pharmacists from licensed pharmacies, which are checked through the Verification Program.
To comply with pharmacy laws governing their practices, in addition to our standards, pharmacies in our program package, dispense and ship lawfully-manufactured medications to patients worldwide. Very few pharmacies in our program ship temperature sensitive medications. Those that do are required to meet strict standards that protect a medication's integrity so that people receive safe mail order medications, including applying to the shipping container a temperature indicator with clear directions for the recipient to determine the product's integrity.
Pharmacy members must only market, process, sell and/or dispense medications that have been approved for sale in at least one of the following countries; Australia, Canada, European Union, India (subject to additional restrictions), Israel, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, or the United States. Additionally, international online pharmacy members selling to consumers in the U.S. must require a prescription for prescription medications, as defined by U.S. law; may not dispense controlled substances, as defined by U.S. DEA; and must provide the consumer with a telephone number for consultation with a licensed pharmacist.
To ensure their continued compliance with PharmacyChecker.com standards, we re-check pharmacy licenses, website security, prescription requirements and compliance with other program standards on an on-going basis.
