PharmacyChecker Maintains High Standards of Online Pharmacy Safety

PharmacyChecker disputes its inclusion on a “Not Recommended” list published by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. As part of that dispute, PharmacyChecker filed a lawsuit against the NABP, Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies, Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies, LegitScript, and the Partnership for Safe Medicines. PharmacyChecker-accredited online pharmacies process prescription drug orders through licensed pharmacies that require valid prescriptions in Australia, Canada, India, Mauritius, New Zealand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They are not permitted to sell controlled drugs, such as prescription opioids or benzodiazepines, internationally to patients in the United States.
PharmacyChecker-accredited online pharmacies meet the following criteria:
- Require a valid prescription Prescription orders are dispensed by licensed pharmacists
- Do not conduct international sales of controlled drugs to the U.S.
- Meet website security requirements
- Publish customer privacy policy on their website
- Publish contact information on their website for customer service
- Offer pharmacist consultation to customers
- Restrict marketed quantities to a maximum of 3 months' supply at a time
- Disclosure of pharmacy location to the consumer prior to purchase
- Marketing claims are truthful and not misleading
