New Doctor of Pharmacy Hire Brings Community Pharmacy Experience to Online Pharmacy Safety Verification
White Plains, New York – March 19, 2018 – PharmacyChecker.com has hired Shivam Patel, PharmD, BSPS, RPh as Director of Pharmacy Verification and Information. The addition of Dr. Patel to the PharmacyChecker.com team demonstrates the company's commitment to patients across the globe in providing the information and guidance necessary to navigate online access to safe and affordable medications.
Dr. Patel is a registered pharmacist in Massachusetts and has experience in the community and hospital pharmacy settings. He has worked at Brigham and Women's hospital, Partners Healthcare, CVS Health, and Stallergenes Greer as the Senior Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Associate. At Stallergenes Greer, Dr. Patel was responsible for quality review, analysis, preparation, completion of labeling, narrative, and submission reports of serious adverse events (SAEs) to determine a drug's safety profile and to meet U.S. FDA regulatory requirements.
Dr. Patel received a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies from Northeastern University. He was a Professional Pharmacy Practice Laboratory Instructor at Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Patel will oversee the PharmacyChecker Verification Program, monitoring and enforcing compliance with the program's industry-leading standards.
